Free C6 Diamond Flap Envelope Template

I have 3 Envelope Templates I use when I want to make an Envelope for a Card.

I use them whenever I don't have an Envelope in my stock of ready-made, shop-bought Envelopes to present my Card in the way I want. For instance, when I want a plain Envelope in a colour from the Colour Palette or a patterned envelope from a sheet of pretty Designer Paper ... those sort of things.

They are all printable, as you'd probably expect! They all C6 in size (162mm x 114mm) to fit A6 Cards (105mm x 148mm). And I thought it would be nice to make them available here on the Blog, just in case you can use them too :)

They offer me a choice of 3 different styles of Envelope. And I'm going to share all 3. But I'm going to share them as I use them. And this Diamond Flap Envelope Template is the one I've used most recently for the Cards I made with my new 'Dazzling Diamonds' Image Stamps & new 'Jewel' Papers, so I'm going to begin with that.

First, I'll show you the contents of the Download, and give you the link to download it. Then I'll show you how to make it. It's very simple to make.

The Download

The download includes ...
1. A printable Template, & ...
2. A Score Guide, showing you where you need to score & fold your paper to create your envelope.
The Score Guide is not to scale, so it isn't a printable Template. But you can print it as a Reference Guide if you wanted.

Downloading & Printing Instructions
The Template prints as a .pdf file.
You will need the free Adobe Reader to print them.
It is A4 size. You will need to print it at an A4 Borderless setting.

How To Make Your Envelope

1. Print the template onto the reverse of your A4 Sheet Paper. You don't need to print the Score Guide, so select to print just Page 1.
2. Cut it out. If you cut immediately inside the printed grey lines there will be no grey Template outlines are on your finished Envelope, even the inside.
3. Using the Score Guide as a reference, score along the 4 dashed lines. Then fold, as shown in the image above.

4. 3 of the sides have a pointed top. Turn the Envelope so the side with the Flat edge is nearest to you. Fold the 2 sides to the centre.

5. Choosing the only one with the flat edge, apply adhesive to it's 2 inside edges.

6. Fold to the centre & press to stick it down securely. You have now made your envelope!

7. (Optional) I like to round the bottom of the Diamond Flap. I use my WRMK Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper on a 1/2" setting to do this.

Sealing Your Envelope
When it comes to sealing Envelopes ...
for Cards I've made to give to someone, I use a nice piece of Washi Tape or just seal it with adhesive.
& for Cards I've made to sell, I either fasten a strip of narrow Double-Sided Tape along each edge of the Flap (leaving the wax paper on to be peeled away as it's used). Or add a piece of Washi Tape on wax Paper in the packaging.

I'm more than happy for you to use the Template for any Cards you make, including Cards you make to sell.
And if you think it would be useful to any of your crafting friends, please feel free to share the link to this page. The Template is free for anyone to download : )

Thank you
xx

Love Liz xx
