6 Gift Bags, Cards & Tags …

… for giving sweet Chocolate Gifts : )

If I have time between now & when I give these on Christmas Eve, I’ll be making Chocolate Truffles as my little gift. If I don’t have time, I’ll buy some. There are always some lovely Chocolate gifts around at this time of year. And I’m very lucky … we are still in Tier 1 here in Cornwall. So I still have all the lovely local gift shops I can browse to find something a little bit special. Well, Tier 1 at the time of writing at least!

So … I’ve made the Gift Bags using *this* tutorial. And my beautiful new Gold Paper from Paperchase : )

To make the Cards & Gift Tags, I’ve customised a 5”x7” Card Base by cutting 5cm from the bottom to make a 128mm x 128mm Square Card Base. And a 5cm Folded Gift Tag too. Like this …
For my Cards, I printed the 'Snowballs' design from the French Country Collection in 'Duck Egg' onto smooth White Card, and cut it into 6, 97mm x 97mm square Mats.

Then I added gilding flakes. Because the design has a random dot pattern, the placement of the dots was different on each Mat. So I just measured 1 1/2cm from the bottom and added PVA adhesive to the 3 rows of dots nearest to that point. Once I had added & rubbed down my Gilding Flakes, the gilding was in more or less the same position on each Mat.

Whilst they were drying, I made my snowflake embellishments using the last of the Wooden Toppers I wanted to use up this year.

Then I just needed to put the elements together … mounted my Snowflake Toppers using dimensionals & added a few Sequins & Adhesive Gems. I then mounted each completed Mat to a Card Base. Cards done : )

To make the Gift Tags, I trimmed 1cm from the front, bottom edge & added Gilding Flakes to the inside edge. And I finished them so they would co-ordinate with my Bags & Cards, to make each Bag, Card & Tag, a Set. So I punched Snowflakes, used the same sequins I had used on my Cards & made hanging tags using the same Twine and Ribbons I’d used for my Gift Bags.

And I’m very happy with how they all turned out!

If I have anything else to share before Christmas, I’m going to post to just Facebook & Instagram : )
You're more than welcome to come and join me there : )

Love Liz xx
