Six Cards From an Index Sheet

So … continuing with my Christmas Cards makes for this year, these Cards were inspired by a couple that I’d made before.

I re-created the simple Watercolour Splash background I’d used on the Stag Cards in my last post.
And imitated the layout of one of these Holly Cards.

And I used the Index Sheet from ‘Berry Bright’ to add pattern & colour, using it to cut out some 2 1/2 cm Holly & 5cm Snowflake Die-Cuts. I punched 3cm snowflakes from the white space on the sheet.
The only thing I added to them was a couple of Foliage Die-Cuts, also cut from White Card, which I coloured loosely with Watercolour Paints.

I began by painting 6 Card Bases.
Whilst they were drying, I prepared 6 Sentiments with Twine.
And then the layering for each Card was this …

2 Snowflakes with adhesive applied only to the centre.
1 patterned Holly leaf at the side of the lower Snowflake.
2 Foliage Leaves, with adhesive applied only to the bottom of the stem, tucked in behind the snowflakes.

I then layered the Sentiment on the top of these, using dimensionals,
added 2 Holly Leaves at the end of the Sentiment & a punched Snowflake above.

And I finished with a couple of small Sequins & tiny Adhesive Gems.
6 more Cards.
I now have 35. I’m almost finished with Cards : )

Love Liz xx
